July 14, 2009

9:00 am - 11:00 am

The Potomac Community Library is located at 2201 Opitz Blvd. in Woodbridge, VA

If you are interested in learning the basics of word processing, please join us at the Potomac Community Library for a free, hands-on, two-part Word Processing Class to be held on July 14th and 21st, from 9 to 11 a.m.

The first class, Word I, will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 9 - 11 a.m.  The class will cover how to open, close, and save a document and how to add, delete, and move text.

The second part of the class, Word II, will be held on Tuesday, July 21 from 9 - 11 a.m. and will build on the knowledge already gained with additional instruction about setting margins, changing the style and size of type, adding color, and other features of the program.

Required experience for signing up for this free class is minimal, but all students must be able to attend both sessions, type, and use a mouse.   Due to limited space, registration is required, either in person at the library or by phone.  Registration begins Tuesday, June 30, and these classes fill quickly, so registering as soon as possible is advisable.  A $10 deposit is required to secure a place in these free classes.  The $10 deposit will be returned to participants who attend both sessions.
