Movie Review on Disney's High School Musical 2

Last weekend the world television premier of HSM2 (High School Musical 2) was finally aired on television. Finally, through weeks of waiting the movie finally hit your television. There were many more dance numbers and singing than the first HSM (High School Musical) movie phenomenon. The movie starts out with the East High Wildcats searching for summer jobs to help out their parents so they go to college after their senior year. All of the Wildcats end up working at the Lava Springs Country Club where the (former) school drama queen and her brother live with their mother and father (also the owners of the country club).

The chaos and commotion starts when the school drama queen (Sharpay Evans) finds out that the entire East High student body has been hired to work at the country club instead of only the school's basketball star (Troy Bolton). Sharpay's plan to break-up Troy and Gabriella (Troy's girlfriend) takes action when she tries to make Troy sing with her at the country club talent show. The movie plot of HSM2 was similar in so many ways to the first HSM, such as the ending where Troy and Gabriella sing for the Lava Springs Country Club. Although there were many more dance and song numbers than the first HSM, HSM2 lacked some of the same "movie magic" that was in the first movie. Some of the scenes of HSM2 were not realistic, such as when Troy was doing a musical number on the golf course and the grass was too green and then it looked like the desert.

During the television premier of the movie however, there weren't as many commercials so the movie was more constant in the airing, Overall HSM2 was an "okay" movie to watch.
