Updated report submitted by Celeste Ligaya
About a week-and-a-half ago Emily Lodge was running her 4th annual Score for the Poor Soccer camp. As you probably remember last Thursday it rained so the camp had to be canceled for the day. But that didn't stop Emily from making a difference. The outcome of the camp was great for Emily and the Sisters of the Poor because the camp raised about $700 dollars and had ten extra people to come to the camp! This year Emily's camp also did many more things than just playing soccer.
The camp members also played kickball and learned about lacrosse, baseball, cross country and gymnastics. In total, Emily and her volunteers had 40 people to attend her camp, with the camp still growing each year! Emily said that the most satisfying feeling this year at her camp was to having the little kids come up to her and tell her that they had a good time.
