Simple Scone Recipe

Scones are traditionally of English and Scottish origin. American scones are generally larger and sweeter compared to the European scones. We love baking these sweets especially on chilly weekend mornings.

 

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cup heavy cream

Whisk dry ingredients

Step 1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2: Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Mix together heavy cream

Step 3: Add heavy cream to dry ingredients and mix together.

Lightly flour work surface and pat dough into 8" circle.

Place cut wedges onto baking sheet.

Step 5: Place wedges onto baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
