Annual Braemar Christmas Party!

 Marstellar All Girls Choir

Bristow, VA ~ Braemar Holiday officially kicked-off on December 14, 2007. This year's event included the lighting of the Braemar Christmas Tree, performance by the Marstellar Middle School Girls Choir, horse-drawn caroling hayrides, and the official arrival of Santa Claus.

Braemar residents and guests arrived promptly and were greeted by Karen Dove, who planned and co-chaired this once a year event. The guests were provided with fun-filled activities such as songs and caroling by the Marstellar Middle School Girls Choir. The choir of twenty-seven young ladies sang traditional and contemporary holiday songs such as "In the Mood" and the Christmas classic "Ring a Ding Ding". Julia Phelan, Mastellar Middle School Choral Director orchestrated the event accompanied by a solo pianist. In addition to the caroling, the Braemar residents and guests were treated to holiday cookies, beverages, and finger sandwiches. With the official arrival of Santa Claus, Braemar declared the opening of Holiday season. Children were delighted to see this jolly old fellow except he gave children left over Halloween candy. BristowEnews.com wonders what happened to the candy canes.

Proceeding the arrival of Santa Claus, local residents and guests were treated to moon light caroling hayrides. The night was cold and brisk yet reminiscent of simple times gone by. Riders of the hayrides were astounded by the Christmas lights displays along Braemar Park and Cedar Point subdivisions. This was truly a magical and breathtaking evening for the children of Braemar! We are positive children will talk about his event in the years to come.
