Holy Trinity Catholic Church hosted their first "Casino Night" at Heritage Hunt on Saturday, November 3rd. Father Peffley described the event as a way for parishioners to meet each other and have fun, as well as raise money for the building of the church. Shawn Raven, photographer and graphic designer took portraits of parishioners with Father Peffley in his captain's hat, since people could win a cruise for two. Heritage Hunt was creatively decorated like a cruise ship for the event. For information on Holy Trinity Catholic Church see: http://www.holytrinityparish.net
Jean Kane was the event organizer stated that she had seven women who helped put it together in six months. Each person took on their responsibility and everything went like clock work. All the materials for the event were donated which will allow for most of the funds to go to the church building.

Matt D'Ercole of "Always Fun Casinos," ran the casino entertainment. He said that their company runs about one hundred and fifty events per year in the District, Maryland and Virginia. Many events are for charities as well as for corporate and private parties. For more information see contact him at: alwaysfuncasinos@aol.com
Two Hogettes, Michael Torbit and Howard Churchill, were also on hand to cheer on the parishioners in their "big game night." Joe Gibbs sent the Hogettes over since Holy Trinity donated generously to the "Youth For Tomorrow," center in Bristow, Virginia. The Hogettes were formed in 1983 when Michael dressed up in his grandmother's polka dotted dress to cheer her up at the retirement home. Soon they were visiting sick children in the hospital to make them smile and then they went on to their Redskins game in November against the Phillies as the "Hogettes" and the rest is history.
