Bristow, VA ~ November 10, 207. Today marks the 1st Annual Mac Attack 5k and 1 mile Fun Run and Walk for Mac Groseclose, an eleven (11) year old and a student of Marstellar Middle School who was diagnosed with Medullablastoma, a form of brain cancer. This type of cancer was first diagnosed by Bailey and Cushing in 1925, the term "medulloblastoma" described a series of tumors found in the cerebella of children. About 1.5-2 cases per 100,000 population, with 350 new cases are reported in the United States each year.

This fund raising event was held to help the Groseclose Family with the ongoing medical and rehab expenses for their eleven (11) year son, who was recently diagnosed with cancer several months ago and is currently under going treatment.
The race attracted about 300 runners from all age groups from the Braemar community as well as other communities within Bristow, VA.
The race event was held at Marstellar Middle School and the race meandered through the subdivision of Tartan Hills West. In addition, local vendors provided the food and beverages for the runners and patrons.Overall, this fund raising event raised cancer awareness for entire community.
