Youth For Tomorrow Country Fair
On October 6th, which was a bright and warm day , the Youth For Tomorrow held their annual Country Fair, that attracted about 5500 hundred people. Young and old were delighted by Piscataway Indians dancing and story telling; Tai Yim's Traditional Chinese Lion Dancing; musical entertainment, free rides for children; a hay wagon pulled by Clydesdales; and an assortment of exhibits and entertainment.
The highlights of the event were:
Joe Gibb's Speech and signing of autographs
NASCAR and Redskins memorabilia
The Blind Bid Board, a competitive bidding and one-of-a-kind items including hot electronics from Best Buy and Lowe's Hardware Store
Live Auction which included Disney World, Skiing Vail, Plasma TV, Redskins vs. Cowboys in a Luxury Owner's Box and too many to include

Some of the events children enjoyed most were the Home Depot Workshop, Bumper Cars, Treasure of the Caribbean slides, Kiddie Carousel, Camelot's Castle bounce and the petting zoo. Many local businesses sponsored the rides, which were free to children.

Local food vendors provided the crowd samples of barbeque hamburgers, hot dogs, and other assortment of food for a small fee. In addition, local merchants had their booth display products and services.
Overall, the Youth For Tomorrow Country Fair was a success and local residents look forward to another event next year.
