Do we really need another shopping center off Linton Hall and Devlin Road? Does traffic ring a bell to local commuters? Let’s face it one unique aspect of living in this side of Prince William County is the feeling of vastness and the open space. Regardless of what they say, Bristow Commons is another strip mall and potentially can be an eye sore to local residents, devalue homes because of the proximity to the future stores, and may adversely impact the surrounding neighborhood of Sheffield Manor, Bridle Wood Manor, Linton Hall Crest, and the Victory Lakes communities.

Sister Patricia Mukanyonga spoke at Holy Trinity Church to tell area residents about her work helping two hundred orphan children left without parents or family as a result of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, Africa. Sister Patricia also helps the sick inflicted with AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The Bridge to Rwanda charitable organization is less than three years old and has supported Sister Patricia with providing money for food, cows that can provide some milk to help with their diet; money to send children to school and various building projects and improvements such as electricity. Cuccinelli noted that it has been nearly twenty years since Republicans had a Northern Virginian on their statewide ticket. He observed that with Bob McDonnell and Bill Bolling as likely standard-bearers for the GOP next year, he is in an ideal position to complete his party’s team: “This would be a ticket with a record of fighting for Virginia families and businesses, representing the three most populous parts of the Commonwealth,” Cuccinelli commented.
