Linton Hall School Girls Soccer Tournament

 Colonel Linton Soccer Challenge 2008

Linton Hall School, located in Bristow, hosted the Virginia Catholic Athletic Conference Soccer Tournament on Friday, April 18th from 1:30 to 7:30 P.M. The VCAC includes teams from Saint Patrick’s, Saint Thomas Aquinas and Holy Cross.  The girls’ teams play tournaments in the spring, while the boys’ tournament is during the fall.  Linton Hall began the soccer tournaments when they became a co-educational school during the 1990’s and the tournament is called the “Colonel Linton Soccer Challenge.”

Linton Hall played Saint Patrick’s at 1:30 p.m. and then Thomas Aquinas at 5:00 p.m., where they won the two hour game in double overtime by one goal.  The play was intense from the start where both teams played aggressively and the swift pace of the game never let up. Linton Hall kept pressure on the Thomas Aquinas goal tender who delivered save after save.

Linton Hall’s grounds are spectacular and they often hold camps for soccer and basketball during the summer months.  For more information about Linton Hall School, visit their web site at:  http://www.lintonhall.edu
