School Supply Drive

The Greater Chamber’s Education Committee seeks items for the 2nd Annual School Supply Drive to benefit area elementary schools in the City of Manassas and Prince William County. Donation barrels and cash collection jars are located in the lobbies of both Greater Chamber offices–8963 Center St., Manassas and 7450 Heritage Village Plaza, Ste. 202 in Gainesville and Micron Technology at 9600 Godwin Dr., Manassas from now until Mon., Aug. 25th. Season Tickets on Sale

The Prince William Symphony Orchestra is now selling subscription tickets for its Mainstage Concert Series. Concerts are held at Grace E. Metz Middle School located at 9950 Wellington Rd., Manassas. Tickets are $65/adults, $50/seniors and free for schoolteachers and students 21 and younger and can be purchased by calling 703-659-0103 or by visiting www.pwso.org.

“Think Pink”

Tranquility Design Academy located at 10388 Festival Lane, Manassas, is hosting “Pink Hair for Hope” now through Fri., Oct. 31st. In exchange for a $10 donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, clients get a free pink extension in their hair. “Operation Sunscreen”

Kellie Coombs, Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics is collecting tax-deductible donations of $36 to provide a sun protection set consisting of SPF 30 sunscreen, SPF 15 lip balm and after-sun replenishing gel to members of our local National Guard unit deploying to Iraq. Tutoring Workshops

Junior Golf Championship

The Prince William County Park Authority will host the Third Annual Junior Golf Championship at General’s Ridge Golf Course, 9701 Manassas Dr., Manassas Park, on Thurs.
