- Bolling says Obama’s choice of Biden highlights his own foreign policy inexperience –
RICHMOND - Earlier today, Senator Barack Obama announced that he has asked Delaware Senator Joe Biden to serve as his running mate for Vice President of the United States. In response to this announcement, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling issued the following statement:
"As I've said many times, Barack Obama does not have the background, knowledge or experience to serve as President of the United States. That is particularly true in the area of foreign policy. By selecting Joe Biden to be his running mate, Senator Obama has highlighted his own foreign policy inexperience. At a time when we face serious international threats from radical terrorists, rogue leaders like those in Iran, and changing political environments in Pakistan and Russia, we need a President who has the experience to deal with these challenges. Senator Obama clearly does not have that experience and no Vice Presidential running mate can change that fact. The fact that Senator Obama chose Senator Biden to be his running mate shows that he is concerned about his own lack of foreign policy experience, and that is reason enough for the people of Virginia and the people of the United States to vote for John McCain in November."
