Stewart, Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, has been invited to participate in a panel discussion on Tuesday, July 8th , 2008, at noon, before the House Republican Policy Committee, at the Library of Congress, Members Room of the Jefferson Building, 101 Independence Avenue, SE, Washington, D.C
This panel will be moderated by Congressman Michael C. Burgess, with Congressman Lamar Smith and T.J. Bonner, President, National Border Patrol Council, joining the Chairman for a discussion on immigration enforcement and policy.
In his remarks before the Committee, Chairman Stewart will announce the extraordinary success of the crackdown on illegal immigration in Prince William County, a stunning 19.3% decrease in the crime rate, as well as a significant drop in the number of ESOL students in the Prince William County School System.
A question and answer period will follow the panel discussion.
