The Environmental and Natural Resources Program of the Prince William Cooperative Extension is sponsoring a free program on fall lawn care with lectures by Dr. Mike Goatley, a Virginia Tech Turf grass Specialist and Dr. Shawn Askew, a Virginia Tech Weed Specialist. Master Gardener Volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions. The program will be held at the Teaching Garden located on the grounds of the Benedictine Monastery, 9535 Linton Hall Road in Bristow, Virginia. The program will be from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. The lecture will provide information on calibrating your spreader, core aeration, how to compost your lawn, fall fertilization, ‘Great Scapes’ lawn program and mower maintenance.
