The Western Prince William Branch Office of the Prince William County– Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce to Open in May

Manassas, VA—The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce announced today that its long-awaited Western Prince William branch office will open in May. The new branch office will be located at 7250 Heritage Village Plaza, Ste. 202, in Gainesville, Virginia and will serve the businesses located in the western portion of Prince William County including Bristow, Broad Run, Nokesville, Gainesville and Haymarket. The phone number of the branch office will remain the same: 703-368-6600.

The satellite office was deemed essential by the Board of Directors of the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce due to the growth in the area in recent years. The county estimates that the population of the region has risen at a rate of at least133 percent in the years since the 2000 census. Six new public schools have been opened there and more than one-quarter of member businesses in the Prince William County–Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce are located in that area.

“The Gainesville/Haymarket area has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years as many innovative new corporations have moved here recently.  We are thrilled to have a Chamber location right in the heart of this new business corridor so that we can better serve their needs,” commented Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce Chair-Elect Steve Nelson, Junction Travel, Inc.

The branch office will provide a place for member businesses in the area to connect. The Greater Chamber plans to hold some events at the Western Prince William branch office including periodic Chamber Membership 101 Mentoring sessions for new members and lunchtime Brown Bag Seminars. The conference room in the satellite office will also be available for use by members during business hours.

The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce plans to hire a part-time employee to staff the branch office and regular branch office hours are yet to be determined.

A grand opening celebration with ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for late May.

The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce will continue to serve its members at the main office located at 8963 Center Street in Old Town Manassas. With more than 1,100 members, the Greater Chamber was listed as the fourth largest in the Washington area by the Washington Business Journal’s “Book of Lists 2007.”
