Official Statement of Attorney General Bob McDonnell
“Tomorrow, our nation remembers all those who have served bravely in our military. An unbroken line of courageous service in defense of our freedom extends from Valley Forge to Gettysburg, from Chateau-Thierry to Midway, from the Chosin Reservoir to Da Nang, and from Kabul to Baghdad. The service of our fellow Americans has given us the greatest nation the world has ever known, and secured the liberty that we all too easily take for granted. Tomorrow, on the 11th day of the 11th month, we pay tribute and remember those who served. However, we must remember our veterans every day, in the policies we promote, the laws we pass, and the help we provide. Our freedom has been secured through their uncommon bravery. Our veterans have served us, we must never fail to serve them.”
