"Introducing Excel: an Introductory Class" is a hands-on exploration of this powerful software tool. You will learn what Excel is, what it is used for, and how it might help you on the job or at home. Plus, you will see some examples of Excel in action. If you have wondered exactly how much math you need to know to use Excel, this class will help you answer that question. The instructor will cover the “math angle,” the vocabulary used in Excel, and some of the basic concepts so that you can make an informed decision as to whether or not a further course to learn Excel is right for you.
Those who wish to take the class must have some familiarity with the use of Microsoft Word, as well as the ability to type and use a mouse. This class is also a prerequisite for any future Excel Classes held at Potomac Community Library. Space is limited, and registration is required. Registration begins March 28th, and classes can fill quickly. A refundable $10 deposit is required to secure a place in these free classes. The $10 deposit will be returned to participants who attend both classes.
